Very disappointing financially and that the watch is now worthless.

**** update****** Apple was eventually able to work with me to remove the activation lock but they are very particular about how to submit the proof of purchase and you need to document attempts of trying to handle this via Amazon first. Lengthy process that could be avoided if the activation lock was clear, bur happy with Apple in the end.
I would buy new to avoid the time wasted. *****

My refuirbished (used-like new) Watch came with an activation lock on it from the previous owner.
I contacted Amazon for assistance, but they said that would need to go through Apple to get it removed and the refused to help beyond that (I was outside my return window since it was a gift months later).
After submitting my case multiple times, Apple could verify the purchase I made, but can not do anything because of privacy reasons and that Amazon would have to help me (ping pong back and forth).
There is no way for me to get into contact with the previous owner (obviously) and Amazon is not letting me return, exchange, or refund the item so now I just have a $300+ paperweight that would be perfectly functioning without the lock.
Very disappointing financially and that the watch is now worthless.

It’s an ok watch. The battery life is pretty short compared to other smartwatches I have owned. This Apple Watch gets about a day on full charge. My cheap smartwatch it replaced would get about a week on a full charge.

I’m very disappointed with the low number of watch faces available by default. Not really happy that I would have to pay some third party for a watch face with intricate movements.

The build quality is typical for Apple. In other words, excellent.

Not a fan of the watch band but after a little practice, not difficult to secure on my wrist.

Overall, I am a bit disappointed. My last smartwatch was a $25 job I got on Amazon 2 years ago. It replaced my Samsung watch that was stolen. I wanted to upgrade back to a higher end smartwatch. And seeing how I converted from Android to IOS (a decision I’m happy I made), I figured I would get an Apple Watch. I guess I was expecting a watch that was as good as the Samsung. Again, disappointed with the features offered on this watch. It’s no better than the $25 watch it replaced. Other than the Mickey Mouse watch face. I love that one.

So I used to have the Apple watch 4 series. I purchased this through Verizon. I had it for 2-3 years. I couldn’t do the extra $50 a month because of this. I had to pay the insurance of the watch, the data for the watch…then the extra line. This can easily add up really quick.

Then I went to Fitbit. Very disappointed because it started to glitch and never turned on again. Had it only for a year. Not worth it at all.

So I decided to switch back to Apple Watch again. Hopefully it will be better this time around. So, I made the big leap to try this again. Purchase this on sale from prime day.

Apple Watch series 8 pros:
- I love that it’s so easy to connect with my iPhone.
- Apps are very user friendly.
- My Apple Watch can easily be sync to my iPhone. Navigation. Text. Calls.
- Great workout apps to track your fitness goals.
- Great health apps. There are times in the middle of the day it will remind you get up and breathe.
- Also sends you reminders of your mental cycle.
- Hands free. Apple Pay.
- Great for emergencies situations. Connected to your insurance card and emergency contact.
- Also has the find me function. Find devices.

Apple Watch S8 cons.
- battery life. You have to charge it every night. Doesn’t last too long.
- be careful when charging because it doesn’t get charge 100%.

I’m still learning everything it does. Overall, this is a great purchase for me and my health. I’m so glad I’m back to Apple Watch again. I highly recommend this purchase. Good luck everyone.

It has a sleek design, outclass performance, seamless connectivity and some really handy features like advanced health tracking and a beautiful large curved display, 45 mm being the ideal size ; not small like the 41mm or the massive 49mm. Personally, I love the beautiful always on display !
The Health tracking features are outclass ! It seamlessly monitors heart rate, does sleep tracking, keeps a check on the breathing rate and the blood oxygen levels, and even detects concerning ECG changes. Temperature monitoring comes with the package.
In addition it is a fantastic workout companion. It can track various types of workouts like running, cycling, swimming, and more. It keeps tabs on your progress, calories burned, and even provides real-time coaching to help you stay motivated. It's like having a personal trainer right on your wrist
